Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN), it is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to Seoul for the 4th Asian-Oceanian Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology (AOCCN) which will be held on April 15 - 18, 2009. IFCN has its international congresses every four years and the Chapter meetings are held in between.

Therefore, this particular AOCCN plays an extremely important role in updating the scientific progress in the related field not only for the member societies of the Asian-Oceanian Chapter but also for the IFCN as a whole. In view of the recent remarkable progress and high quality of clinical neurophysiology in Korea, and of the keen devotion of Professor Kwang-Woo Lee and his colleagues of Korean Society of Clinical Neurophysiology to this meeting, I am sure the meeting will provide a valuable opportunity for all the participants from Asian and Oceanian countries and other parts of the world. IFCN is happy to support this meeting from the financial as well as practical point of view including fellowship to young investigators. As a matter of fact, all the members of the current IFCN Executive Committee will participate in the scientific sessions. Moreover, Seoul is a beautiful city with mixture of modern technology and traditional culture, and I believe that the middle of April will be the best season for visiting there. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Seoul in April 2009.
Best regards,
Hiroshi Shibasaki, MD, PhD
President of IFCN
